New Year's resolutions!

Hello everyone, with 2013 nearly over, I thought I would share my New Year's Resolutions with you all!

1) Lose weight. This is a very common resolution, but I really want to lose more weight. I have already lost weight after being put on metformin for PCOS, the weight is slow to come off and I have probably gained weight over Christmas! I would love to eventually be a size 12-14, but most of all be healthier, the more weight I lose the better the chance I have for pregnancy, if I'm ever to have children.

2) Buy more make up. This is an unusual resolution, especially as many BBloggers are going on a 90 day spending ban! But compared to many BBloggers, I have very little make up. I mainly buy the cheapest brands in drugstores. I want to try out new make up and concealers, I have heard a lot of good things about Rimmel wake me up foundation! I want to try out new products and find what ones work best for me. I also need to buy myself a good set of brushes! I have already bought myself one good brush for powder, all the rest are cheap and, well, nasty!

3) Do well at university. I got into university (there will be a more detailed blog coming soon) I obviously want to do as well as I can. I am worried I will lose that motivation when I get there, especially with so many distractions! I am really looking forward to meeting new people and learning. I also hope to do more, including seeing shows and travelling more!

4) Watch more films. Again, a more unusual resolution. I have barely watched any films, my friends cannot believe I haven't seen so many "classic" films. In all honesty, I do not like watching films alone, I'd much rather game, I feel more involved when I'm moving a character and making decisions. It's quite difficult to be around friends who talk about films and TV shows a lot, I'm just standing in silence!

5) Last but not least, get into a more regular blogging pattern! My blogging has been a bit hit and miss recently, and I apologise for that. I want to try out loads of new things, talk about my weight loss and do some more nail art!

Happy new year to you all, thank you for reading! Let me know what your resolutions are if you have any!

Christmas wishlist!

With Christmas coming ever closer, I am getting more and more excited to see what I get! Like many people, I have an ever expanding Christmas wishlist! I thought I'd share some of my beauty related items I'd like for Christmas! It's unlikely that I will get many of these (I'm going to uni in February and told people not to buy me much as I need to save for a deposit and I'm poor) but I may have a look in the sales or use this wishlist for my birthday.

Soap & Glory The Yule Monty Gift Set This has now sold out at boots as it was reduced to less than half price!! I really want to try soap & glory products and this would be fantastic for trying many out. I'd probably end up getting a smaller set and trying out 2 or 3 products and see from there, but there's no harm in wishful thinking!

Barry M Matte Nail Paint Black Expresso  These matte nail varnishes have been out a little while and the longer I've waited, the more I want them! I have seen some of my friends wear them and I love all the colours, but Black Expresso is my favourite with either Burgundy Crush or Brown Mocha a close second.

Jazooli 120 colours eye shadow palette Recently I have bought a MUA eye shadow palette as I'm trying to move away from wearing only grey eye shadow. I am now wearing more browns and learning how to use lighter and darker shades to make my eyes look bigger. I now want to try out many different colours as we go into the spring/summer. I thought a massive eye shadow palette would be a perfect solution. This one has very good reviews and is under £11 including the cost of postage and packaging! This looks like to be a bargain.

EOS Lemon Smooth Sphere lip balm I have heard a lot about EOS lip balms in recent times, especially on twitter seeing celebrities wear them. With lemon being one of my favourite smells I was delighted to see they do a lemon one. The bad news is that these are not available in the U.K. from their website. The only good news is that I have seen them on amazon for a lot more that are shipped from the U.K. It'd be great to see these made available to Europe from their official website or to see them in the shops!

Blue Corn 3 in 1 deep cleansing scrub mask This product is made by the body shop, as you may know, I am a big fan of the body shop products and this is one I want to try! It removes dead skin, impurities and excess oil to gently cleanse the skin and make it feel soft, it's sounds fab to me!

My wishlist is bigger then this, but these are the main beauty products I want at the moment, I'm sure in a month or so I will have more products to add to this list! Let me know below if you have got any of these products I have listed!

Second hand beauty haul!

With Christmas approaching, you'll start to notice more Christmas bazaars being advertised on windows and in newspapers. These take place around the end of November to 2nd week of December. These are normally held in Church halls or community halls.  I went to 2 last week in my local town. Unfortunately in the first one I didn't buy a thing, but in the second one I bought a few new things!

Everything I bought!

There are occasionally entry fees, generally 20-50p, but it goes to local good causes! It can be hit and miss which ones have more variety and more tables inside but ask any of your family/friends, see if they have been to any! As well as beauty products, there will often be cake, tea, books, jewellery and more for sale.

I thought I'd talk about what I bought last week, as I got some great bargains! Christmas bazaars aren't a place where many people think about getting products from, but the amount of beauty products you can buy at a bargain price that are new is great! It's a shame more people do not turn up to them! (Though not to the ones in Harlow, they are mine! :p)

The first thing I bought was the body shop peppermint smoothing pumice foot scrub. I already have a gift set of their peppermint range and I love it, they are the best products I have found for feet. The 100ml container cost me 60p! This product new costs £7, saving me £6.30! Bargain!

I also bought some No7 products. I bought 2 extreme length black mascaras and a No7 eye shadow in the shade Island tea. I don't buy No7 products often, I usually only buy them when I have a voucher for £5 off. I have previously tried their lip glosses and nail varnish and not had a problem with them so I thought I'd give these a go. These products are older and are not available to buy in store or online, but for 90p it was worth the risk! The mascaras are pretty good, they aren't the best mascaras I have tried but considering they are older and cost 20p each, they are fantastic for the money. The eye shadow is a powder blue shade, which is different to what I normally wear (grey or brown). I have found this eye shadow to last a few hours and has a fairly strong colour to it, despite being a pale colour. Again, I cannot complain for 50p!

I also bought a NSPA fresh sweet raspberry shower and bath gel for 60p. I have heard good things about the NSPA brand in recent times from fellow beauty bloggers, so I was more then happy to buy it! I have not tried it yet, I'm waiting to finish the shower gel I'm currently using (Boots zingy lemon shower gel) but the smell of this is gorgeous! This is a must for fruit lovers, it has a strong, sweet scent without being overpowering and sickly, I cannot wait to try it!

The last thing I bought was a moisturising body lotion by Mason & Miller for 10p. I have not heard of this brand, I thought for 10p I cannot lose really! This is only a 20ml sample. Being honest I have a cold and I have tried using it, it was a weird smell that I am unable to distinguish, but the body lotion itself is okay, it isn't the best, but I have tried worse that have cost more! I will use it up but I wouldn't recommend it, I hope to use it up before my cold goes away!

Good luck if you go to any Christmas bazaars! I hope you find lots of goodies! Let me know in the comments if you have bought any bargains recently!
