Lush - Dragon's egg bath bomb

Like many of you, I LOVE LUSH. When you enter the shop, you want to smell everything! The staff are always so friendly but don't make you feel awkward or you HAVE to buy something like many other shops. For those who read my blogs often or follow me on twitter, you'll know my favourite scent is Lemon. I have so many lemon beauty items, mainly with thanks to the Body Shop. When smelling the bath bombs in LUSH, I knew the dragons egg was the one I needed to buy! As well as Lemon oil, there is a hint of jasmine, which has different properties including helping sensitive skin, mood uplifting, helping stress and helping with muscles pains/aches.

I really recommend the dragons egg for those who love the smell of citrus or lemon sherbet! Even before I used it, I could smell it for days every time I walked past where I stored it! I forgot to take pictures of it in the bath *sorry* but I can describe it. It turns the bath water orange, the middle of the dragons egg is orange and has gold glitter in the middle.

The bath bomb paints a picture of being in a dragon's lair, orange maybe being lava, usually there is treasure, so within the middle is gold, just like in a lair. The white creates a smoky top layer, being the steam/mist from the heat. The confetti circles that dissolve could be gems. Maybe I'm looking way into this, but it's the picture it painted for me!

The Dragon's egg costs £3.25 and more information and pictures can be found here.

The only other LUSH product I have tried is the comforter, are there any other products you recommend apart from the bubblegum lip scrub? It's in my Spring wish list and I hope to buy one over Easter!

Spring wishlist!

Hello everyone, I've seen so many of you do wishlists, so I thought it's about time I did one, I think the last one I did was before Christmas last year! I hope you enjoy this and gives you some ideas of items you want to try out!

All images are taken from Google images and edited by me.

You may have already noticed a slight theme, nail varnishes, those who see my twitter or blogs a lot, I LOVE nail varnishes so much!

Starting with the top left is Barry M's silk nail paint. These cost £3.99 each but you can generally find a deal when it comes to Barry M in the high street/drug stores. Barry M is one of my favourite nail varnish brands so it's little surprise these nail varnishes made it onto my wish list! I especially like the white and lilac, with the blue and mint very close behind!

Top middle is the LUSH bubblegum lip scrub. I would be very surprised if you haven't heard of this! It's comes in popcorn and mint julips flavours. I have tried all 3 when I last went into LUSH (the town I have moved too has a LUSH *yay*) I loved the bubblegum and popcorn ones, bubblegum seems to be the most popular to BBloggers. I wish I bought one, but ended up buying bath bombs and a bubble bar. Hopefully I will buy a bubblegum one very soon, I have heard they do wonders for your lips! This costs £5.50 which is a little pricey compared to a lot of lip products found on the high street, but I have been told it is worth the money!

The top right is Sleek's face form contouring kit. I have heard a lot about Sleek's face products, especially their contouring kits, blushers and eye shadows. I don't contour at all! I know I should but having rosacea, I just want it all covered up! For £9.99 it looks fantastic and their website gives a great step by step how to use, brilliant for a beginner like me! This comes in 4 different shades, fair, light, medium and dark.

The bottom left is Models own speckled eggs. I have seen some bbloggers post about these and they look so cute! These are perfect for spring, I love the mint and blue ones, is it just me or when on, they remind you of Cadbury mini eggs? These cost £5 each but I have occasionally seen 2 for £8 on the high street, so it's always worth a look around the shops to pick up a bargain!!

The bottom right is Models own sticky fingers. These cost slightly more then the nail varnishes above, costing £6 each. But for £6 you get simple nail art! Anyone can do this, you paint your nails as normal and use the stickers provided to create a personalised manicure! Being a gamer or a "nerd" I love the comic designed stickers as seen on the red nail in the picture. I also love the white and pink, I think this is a fantastic idea, especially to those new to nail art and want to start somewhere basic.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, let me know what items are in your wishlist below!

Talkative Thursday

Hi everyone! Another week has gone by! I can't believe how quickly the weeks are passing since being at university. It's been a mixed week for me, I got 27 out of 32 on one of my online assessments, which counts as 20% of 1 module (I have 4 modules in total). Being honest I was a little bit disappointed, I know the first year doesn't count towards the final grade, but I want to do as well as possible. Still, at least I passed, which is the main thing!

I had another anxiety attack while at uni, I managed to stay in my chair until the hour break I have where I explained to my lecturer I was going home, luckily for me, she was very understanding.  I did not suffer with this at college, I thought I was getting better mentally, but I need to try and find the cause of these and hopefully minimize the chances of one happening.

Onto beauty products, I bought quite a few items in 2 blog sales! I already have so many products to blog about, yet I buy more! As I type this, I am watching lots on eBay too, I keep telling myself I could have worse addictions!

It's quite a short post this time, not much has happened, I will need to type up some blog posts to be released when I am away in a few weeks time for Easter. Hopefully by then I would have a new place to move into! But I will keep you all posted on here! Let me know what you have been up too, either comment or maybe you have a weekly personal blog post? Let me know below!

Make up free - Breast Cancer awareness

I was tagged by the lovely Catherine to do this post. You may have seen many blog posts, tweets and facebook status' about Breast Cancer awareness today.

All you have to do is not wear make up and post your picture online to spread the word! Breast cancer does not only affect women, but men too. Here are some interesting statistics about mortality and survival rates, also showing how many males and females are diagnosed a year.

As well as awareness, research always needs money. The real way to help is to donate money to breast cancer research, either by texting BEAT to 70099 to donate £3 (make sure you have bill payer's permission) or when you see someone collecting for them in town, if everyone donated 10p, it would raise thousands!

I rarely go out without make up on, at uni I have to wear make up, otherwise I won't go in. Only a few of my friends have seen me without make up on. I was bullied all through school, especially about my rosacea and my weight, until my confidence so low I wear make up everyday. For me, putting up a picture of me without make up is a big thing. Though being honest this is the nicest picture of me without make up on, but it's better than no picture, plus it's for a good cause. I am pictured with my boyfriend of 5 years on the 26th March.

I will not tag anyone specific, but will tag anyone reading this, male or female. I will look forward to seeing other people's pictures and blogs, spreading awareness of breast cancer.

GOSH eye shadows

Hi everyone, when I was back home last month, I re found my love for GOSH eye shadows! I have a quattro and a triple eye shadow, the latter I believe isn't available any more. For those who read my blogs often and/or follow me on twitter know, I love cheaper/drugstore make up, I know it's better to spend £10 on an eye shadow for it to be amazing but for that amount I can buy loads of very good quality products! So back to GOSH, being honest I haven't tried any other of their make up before, not even to this day apart from eye shadows, let me know below if you have used other GOSH products, what are they like?

I bought the GOSH triple (not sure on it's name) eye shadow for £2 or £3 as the lid had completely come off and the silver eye shadows was only half there, this didn't bother me as I have l love grey/silver eye shadows and already have some. It is worth looking in superdrug or any other beauty/drug stores to see if they have a reduced or damaged section, items can me significantly reduced if you don't mind a bit of the product missing or the lid not working etc! The quattro eye shadow costs £8 but I got this at least a year ago and had a £2 off coupon, so I paid £6.

Look how much I've used the one on the right!

There are 2 ways of looking at GOSH eye shadows, you're getting each eye shadow for £2 each roughly when you buy little sets like this one, considering many single eye shadows can range from £1 all the way to £10+ it's not that bad, on the other hand brands such as MUA offer 10 eye shadows on a pallet for £4, making them 40p an eye shadow!

It was obvious the damaged product I bought from Superdrug had been dropped, I also dropped my GOSH quattro on my carpet and the black eye shadow completely shattered, which was irritating as at the time as it was my only black eye shadow. I'm not completely sold on the quality of the product as I have dropped other branded eye shadows on carpet and they have been fine, even £1 MUA ones! But one thing I love about GOSH eye shadows is that they blend very well. I especially love the triple eye shadow, you may only have 3 colours but blending them, you have many tones of them colours!

I would like to try out more GOSH products in the future  and I would recommend them, I would advise to be careful not to drop them! The eye shadow themselves are fantastic and would buy more when these are running out. Below are some swatches, I apologize they are not the best quality as I took these when I was home, so I had to use my mobile to take the pictures. Please let me know below if you have tried any other GOSH products and if you'd recommend them.

Talkative Thursdays

Don't be too shocked, I actually got one out on time! So last week and the week before I had a really bad cold with flu like symptoms, I was nearly bed bound, only getting out of bed to go to the toilet! It was horrible and lasted 2 weeks, thankfully I am a lot better now!

Wrapped prizes!

I won 1st place prize in Catherine's 100 Bloglovin followers give away. This the first thing I have ever won in months, so it does eventually pay off to keep entering! I'm so happy with the prizes and they were beautifully wrapped! I will blog about most of the products when I have used them for a while.

un wrapped prizes (forgot the MUA eyeshadow)

I'm in the process of removing the red out of my hair to go a lighter brown, which is my natural colour! I have used colour B4 and I'm really happy how it turned out, I will blog on this at a later date!

As for university, it's really interesting, well part of it are, some parts are boring to me but need to be learnt. I have done one timed assignment that goes towards my results for the year, I have 2 next week, I'm not nervous for them yet, but I'm sure nearer the time I will start to panic!

Lastly I've been playing a lot of hearthstone and Diablo 3 on PC, as you may know I am a gamer and love playing games, I haven't played blizzard games before, but the graphics and game play are really good, I'd recommend them as hearthstone is free and Diablo 3 has a demo you can play to try it out.

That's pretty much it for this week, I will be revising and I'm looking forward to having Easter off next month. What have you guys been up too? Let me know below!

Would you rather tag and upcoming give away!

Hi everyone, I saw this tag and thought to do it despite not being tagged to do it! That's how popular I am! I also wanted to quickly tell you guys about my upcoming give away! At 400 twitter followers and 100 blog lovin followers, I will do my first ever give away! I'm starting to buy things to put in the give away, the sooner I get the followers, the sooner the give away will begin! My bloglovin and twitter accounts can be found here. Hope you enjoy reading this tag!

1. Would you rather be able to apply eyeliner perfectly or be able to contour like Kim Kardashian?

Contour! I think my eye lining skills are okay to be honest!

2. Would you rather wear foundation which is two shades lighter or two shades darker?

2 shade darker! I look like a ghost as it is!

3. Would you rather wear no lipstick ever again or no eyeliner ever again?

No lipstick! You can always use lip glosses or tints, but there's not much alternative to eye liner!

4. Would you rather give up your foundation or your mascara?

Mascara! I could NEVER give up foundation!

5. Would you rather apply your makeup yourself with no mirror whilst on a bumpy car journey or ask a 5 year old child to do it?

Applying it myself, a child would draw a tash and beard on me!

6. Would you rather wear exactly the same makeup every single day for the rest of your life or drastically change your makeup every single day for the rest of your life (even if it doesn’t suit you!)?

Same make up for life, I pretty much do anyway!

7. Would rather have dodgy brows or have patchy fake tan?

Dodgy brows, there's enough patchy fake tan where I'm from! (Essex)

8. Would you rather have perfectly white teeth or have your perfect hairstyle?

Perfect hair, it's taken years to grow and is still no where near as long as I want it to be :(

9. Would you rather wear the same colour nail varnish for the rest of your life or be able to change the colours of your varnish whenever you like but it’s always a little bit smudged?

Different nail varnishes! I love my nail varnishes, I'd just pick the bits off that have gone over!

10. Would you rather have lots of scented body and perfume products that smell amazing to you but to everyone else you smell like pine tree car air freshener or have products that smell average to you but smell incredible to those around you?

Probably the latter, as long as I don't smell of B.O nor smell horrible then I don't mind what I smell like!

Thank you for reading, feel free to do this even if I haven't tagged you! I have tagged based on the last 5 people I spoke to that I follow on twitter!

Boots 3 for 2 - collection items

Hi everyone, as you may know I've been really ill the past 2 weeks. I've had a really bad cold and sore throat, I was practically bed bound for a few days. Also, as I am doing my first year of uni in half a year, I have a lot of examinations coming up, 5 of which are in March, so I have been using what little brain power I had to revise and actually drag myself to university!

I apologise for the lack of quality to the pictures, I went home without my camera, so I had to take my pictures with my mobile, many of my upcoming blogs will have this problem, but I left so much I wanted to review at home, typical!!

So, we all love 3 for 2 at boots, I was back home when it happened and I needed some make up. I thought I had left enough make up at home, turns out both of my mascaras are dried out, I had no liquid eye liner, no liquid concealer and my foundation was nearly empty, again, typical! I found some brown mascara which is fine, but I will bring some black mascara from uni over Easter. This left me needing liquid concealer, foundation and an eye liner.

I have been a fan of collection (was collection 2000) for a about a year or so, since my favourite foundation was discontinued, I tried their 3 in 1 foundation and found it nearly as good for just under half the price! As I wanted something reliable, I bought the same one yet again! I do want to try some new foundations, please let me know if there are any other good foundations for around the £10 or under mark. I know this is a 3 in 1, but I have rosacea which is a skin condition, so I need a heavier foundation that covers a lot of redness, I find this brilliant for the money and would recommend it, especially for rosacea sufferers!

I have heard A LOT about the collection lasting perfection 16 hour concealer, I seriously heard so much "hype", many girls say it's their favourite concealer, for under a fiver I had to see how good it is and how it compares to the hype. I am very pleased to say that the hype is true, it's amazing! It's seriously good for the price, it's fantastic to cover those stubborn dark circles as well as any nasty red spots. I have yet to test if it lasts 16 hours but it's lasted immaculately when I've used it for 8 hours or so, so I can well imagine it will last up to the 16 hours or nearly the 16 hours!

Lastly I bought Collection's EXTREME 24 hour felt tip liner. Like many girls I love felt eye liners, it's so easy to apply! Again I have not tested whether it lasts 24 hours but I have noticed this eye liner lasts longer then the NYC one I was using. I sometimes find the NYC, despite it lasting up to 10 hours, can fade or come off, especially the inner and outer eyelid! I have found Collection's eye liner to last without partially coming off!

Did you buy anything in the last 3 for 2 and recommend me to try something? Let me know below, I love hearing what you have all bought!!
