LUSH Cyanide Pill Bath Ballistic (Oxford Street Exclusive)

I bought LUSH's Cyanide pill bath ballistic due to its lemon scent, it is my favourite scent and my favourite LUSH product is their dragon's egg. This lemon scent is not sweet like the dragon egg, it is woody and slightly nutty due to containing almond oil, cedar wood oil and rose seed oil. At £3.50 this is cheaper than some of the other Oxford Street exclusives like the Experimenter and Intergalactic bath bombs, but this product is a little bit smaller and more expensive then the non Oxford Street exclusive bath bombs.

I am not keen on the name Cyanide pill, but it does fit its pill shape. As for the in bath experience, I do like a bath bomb or ballistic that has popping candy inside of it. This makes lots of gas bubbles, much like a soda and I enjoy watching it. However I am unsure if the cyanide pill lasted much more than one minute. It was very rapid and despite the bubbles and fizz, the ballistic stayed in the same position then sunk!

I was unable to get a picture but there are also a couple of pink flecks within the yellow section of the bath bomb. The water turned a bright yellow with silver glitter. I really like the silver shimmer the water had. The bath ballistic did not make my skin any softer, it certainly did nothing bad to my skin, but it just felt like the water had a scent and colour, but little else!

Overall I am quite disappointed at this product, I could have bought a Dragon's egg and had change! I do like the vibrant colour, the silver glitter and there was no staining. But the Cyanide pill did not last for very long and sunk, which for someone who enjoys watching a bath product fizz and move, was really disappointing. I won't be re purchasing this and I will not recommend this unless you like a lemon/almond/woody scent and likes yellow!

  1. Thanks for such an honest review! I'm not keen on the shimmer so wouldn't purchase this but would have expected more from Lush.

    1. Yeah quite a few of their exclusives have glitter/shimmer! This is my least favourite product of theirs but it is each to their own! Thank you for reading xx

  2. I agree with Sarah, thank you for an honest review :) maybe they're stretching themselves a little too far with all their new products. To be fair though they're still unique and I can't really think of anywhere which does bath bombs quite like them :) thanks again for an honest post Laura xxxx

    1. You're welcome, I would hate to lie and tell everyone it is amazing when it is not! I do love most of LUSH's products but not this one! If they bring any of the Oxford Street exclusives to the rest of the stores, I cannot imagine this being one of them! xxx

  5. It looks amazing but it's a shame about it fizzing quickly :( Dragon's Egg is one of my favourites too! xx

  6. Lush are making too many yellow bath products. I don't want to sit in urine-coloured bath water.
