George Christmas event 2015

I was lucky enough to have received an invitation to the George Christmas event 2015. Myself and others got a chance to have a look into what is going to be in George's Christmas range this year. Unfortunately it did not go 100% according to plan as I will explain later but overall I enjoyed having a look at the Christmas range, I have my eye on a few pieces!

I travelled into London especially for the event which was held at Somerset house which is absolutely beautiful! I wanted to be completely honest with how I felt that day rather than say everything was amazing.

Somerset house, Stand, London, United Kingdom

Upon entering there was a reception area with 3 women, one started asking questions about how I got my invitation. This was my first ever event but I was not expecting to be asked that, it made me start to feel like I was not worthy of being there. I explained I found out about the event on Facebook and was emailing someone, who said my name would be added to the guest list.

Facebook the woman exclaimed, she also then implied that the event was more elaborate and not just anyone could go in, I was then asked for proof of the emails, I was starting to panic as I travelled into London especially for this. I was struggling to get both the WiFi and my mobile internet to work. Once I was able to show her the proof, my phone was taken away from me while she showed someone else. I felt like I was not going to be allowed to have a look around and wasted money travelling into London. Luckily she returned and said it was okay for me to look around. The whole time I felt on edge and uneasy, but nevertheless I enjoyed seeing what George at ASDA have to offer this year in their Christmas range.

But with the bad bit out of the way, I really enjoyed looking around. The range was divided into 4 rooms that we could have a look in. I was feeling really festive and there was a lot there that caught my eye!

There was a variety on show which represented roughly a third of what is coming into store. Clothes, cushions, Christmas tree decorations and candles.

One of the rooms was set out like a living room with sofas, 2 Christmas trees lots of cushions and ornaments. The room had a cinnamon, Christmasy smell upon entering, it was my favourite room.

George at ASDA Christmas range 2015 Jingle bells candle

One of my favourite things was this candle. I love that it has the jingle bells lyrics on the glass. It is such a simple but fantastic idea!

I loved how there was a bit of everything there, for clothing there was clothes for both adults and children as well as day wear, pyjamas and clothes for nights out.

I feel like the event was really thought out well and everything was displayed beautifully. It was easy to look at everything plus the lighting was really good.

Above is a jumper I really want to buy. I love the design so much and as soon as I can get my hands on it, I will be! George at ASDA have lots of cute jumpers coming out and I really hope that there will be more in the full collection!

Some may be wondering if there was a gift bag or similar, we was given a bag with 2 pieces of literature and a Christmas tree decoration in the shape of a cupcake which I thought was really cute and will be hanging it off my Christmas tree.
