Remescar stretch marks cream

For those who read my blog post about PCOS may remember I discussed gaining weight. I have actually gained around 6 stone (38.1kg) in the last 4 years roughly. With weight gain came stretch marks, in my case, a lot of them. This is where Remescar comes in. After telling them my PCOS story, they were very kind and sent me their Stretch Marks cream to try for 2 months to see how I get along with it and to report back with the results.

Remescar sent a full sized bottle of their Stretch Marks cream which is 100ml as well as a handwritten note, which I thought was very nice of them. The box contained the cream as well as a little instruction leaflet with ingredients and other useful information. I was worried that the 100ml would not last me the whole 2 months, especially using this twice a day. But I am happy to report a little does go a long way and I was able to use this for over 2 months on my stomach!

The thing I struggle with most is applying it twice a day. It takes me a while to get into a new routine and it is so important with any form of skin care, to be consistent. Being honest I did miss the occasional application but hopefully you can still see the improvements. This leads me onto another point, changes to the skin happen so slow that sometimes it is difficult to see any change. Taking photos, as much as I am self conscious and dislike my stomach, really helped to show the improvements! I found the formula to dry quite quickly and did not leave my skin feeling sticky, which is something I have found some skin care products to do in the past!

I would apply this once in the morning or early afternoon and once again an hour or so before I go to sleep, ensuring my skin was clean and dry upon application.  It is advised for the cream to be gently massaged into the skin, massaging more firmly will not increase its effectiveness. My scars before as shown above were very pink and angry looking. I have used body lotions and creams to help in the past but nothing seems to have worked for me, until Remescar. The picture below shows what my stomach looks like now, the scars are still visible but look far less red than before.

Remescar Stretch Marks not only helps to treat scars but can also be used as a preventative measure too. The silicone based formula helps to create a barrier over the skin. This barrier helps to protect the skin, control inflammation, stimulate healing and moisturises the skin. This all results in the skin appearing and feeling better, as the above picture shows, the scars look less raised and red.

Remescar Stretch Marks cream is available to buy at Superdrug and at Boots. More information about Remescar and their products can be found on their website here. Let me know below if you have heard of Remescar before or have used their products, I would love to hear what you think!

  3. To be on the safe side, try an anti stretch mark cream product on a patch of skin first and observe after 24 hours if any allergy signs appear.dermelastic
