Sweet haul chocolate sticks from around the world

When I went into London last year with my flat mate, we both bought lots of sweets from around the world! This is part 2 of my sweets haul, looking at chocolate sticks! In the United Kingdom the most common chocolate stick is Mikado, which I have featured for comparison not because I was hungry..

I was surprised to see that both Pocky and Mikado are both made by the same company Ezaki Glico. This might be an unpopular opinion but I do prefer Mikado over Pocky, I honestly think the chocolate tastes of a better quality. The best thing about Pocky is that when you can get hold of them, they have so much variety! I have tried several flavours of Pocky, one of the best places to find Pocky is MCM Comic Con.

The Pepero and Lucky Stick I had not heard of before; I found them both in China town in London. The Pepero chocolate sticks are my favourite out of the four seen here. You do get less weight in a pack but they do taste incredible! The Lucky Sticks are my least favourite out of the four. I found the biscuit to be really dry and flaky and the chocolate covering it was so thin, it just was not for me.

Hope you enjoyed this short look into chocolate sticks from across the world. Have you tried any of these or something similar?

  1. I love the cookies & cream pocky! But my favourite ones are the milk flavour :)

I prefer pocky, but I loved the pistacho Mikado that were limited editions. They were so yummy! I've never tried Pepero, I'll buy some next time I get chance to.

    1. I really like the milk flavoured Mikado too! I think Pepero tastes so nice but they are tricky to get hold of, thank you for reading! x

  2. I've only ever tried Mikado sticks and I love them! They're so moreish though which is a bit dangerous.

Shame that the lucky stick didn't taste that great because they look amazing! x
