Mani Monday - Sally Hansen gel strips

Hello everyone! Yesterday I went into my local Poundworld and saw these Sally Hansen salon insta gel strips. I could hardly say no to this bargain! I got mine in the dog tooth (440 bonus check). I noticed that it states you need a LED lamp, luckily I have a LED lamp from when I was sent a starter kit from United beauty to try, which can be seen here. For those who do not have a LED lamp, they can use the strips with a clear top coat, which is exactly what I did with most of my nails!

The gel strips box contains instructions, a gel top coat, 16 strips, 2 nail cleanser pads, a nail file and a cuticle stick, a lot of product for only £1! Using these strips could not be simpler. Firstly you need to prepare the nails, using the file and cuticle stick provided, after I actually applied a base coat despite the instructions saying sing clean nails.

Step 2 is to take one of the strips and to take the top layer off and put it onto your nail, after this use nail scissors or the file provided to shade the strip. You then continue this step until all of your nails are done. The next step is to either use the gel nail polish provided and cure your nails for 30 seconds, which I did for my thumb nail. The other option is to use a clear coat of nail polish to seal the edges, which I did for the rest of the nails.

Using the gel top coat does provide a nice finish and will make the manicure last longer but using a clear top coat also does a good job. These nail strips are the best ones I have ever used, I have tried other nail strips such as these Ms Sporty ones; they irritate my nails and I rip the strips off by the end of the day! The Sally Hansen ones feel lightweight on my nails and do not irritate me at all.

What do you think of these strips? I honestly would pay more then £1 for these and I am going to grab some more before they all go!
