Champneys energising lime foaming body scrub

Hello everyone we are going back to body scrubs. I have tried many from the high street including Zoella's Scrubbing Me Softly and the Body Shop's sweet lemon scrub I put into a favourites post last year. I bought this along with another Champney's body scrub as Boots had them reduced by 75% to £2.50 each!

Regular readers will know I love citrus and mint scents so I had to try this out. The peppermint scent is very strong but the lime is there, I feel like it should be described as a mint body scrub with lime oil, I personally cannot smell any orange. It is not the most pleasant looking body scrub, to me it resembles frog spawn. It is a watery texture which allows it to be easily applied onto the skin.

The issue with this body scrub for me is that it is  a very gentle body scrub. Once applied to the body the green beads really spread out which is really gentle on the skin. What is worse is that it does not foam up as the label states! It does really wake you up first thing in the morning with the peppermint oil and the lime oil, so I would agree it is energising.

Overall I was fairly disappointed with this body scrub, it smells amazing but the best thing about this body scrub is the jar it is in! At £2.50 I do not feel like I wasted my money but at £10 I would not recommend! Have you tried Champney's body scrubs? Do you have any body scrub recommendations?

  1. I love the smell of peppermint so I'd probably quite like this! I prefer rough scrubs too so I probably wouldn't purchase though! At least you didn't waste a tenner on it xx

  3. I'm so sorry this scrub didn't work out for you. I'm not a fan of peppermint so I'll give it a skip. At least it's only 2.75 pounds!
