It does not bother me that I will be alone for Valentine's day this year. There is a lot of love to be had, not only from a partner but from friends, family and yourself. I am spending Valentine's day relaxing and pampering myself. The first thing I did was buy some face masks! Montagne Jeunesse, also known as 7th heaven, do my favourite packet face masks, I had to stock up on some more. I bought 3 that I have not tried before, 2 for combination skin and one for problem skin as I am breaking out a lot at the moment! What I love about these face masks is if you look at the ingredient list, all the natural and man made ingredients are clearly labelled and most of them are natural! These are also cruelty free and a bargain at £1 each!
Next is making one of my favourite drinks, which is blackcurrant and lemonade. I know you may be thinking it is not the most exciting drink in the world, but it is very versatile drink. The drink below is a version with water instead of lemonade for those who do not drink fizzy drinks. But for those who want something a bit stronger, try adding a shot of vodka or a shot of peach schnapps, it tastes wonderful!
Lastly is these oreo cup cakes I made from scratch.I followed Tanya Burr's recipe found here, the only difference is I added a pinch of cocoa powder to the butter cream. I am not one for baking much and certainly not from scratch. Baking can really take your mind off things and it results in something yummy!
I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's day, let me know your plans for it!
Enjoy your Valentines day lovely. This is my first Valentines Day alone in 8 years, pampering is the best!
